What's wrong with humanity today

I think we should focus on what is right also! If we focus on what is wrong, let it be to warn ourselves and others. Too much negative brings a drain on our spirits.

Things right with humanity today:

1. As long as there are people helping people, caring for other people, there is right in humanity today.

2. The rain still comes

3. The sun still shines

4. You have your body. There is health there. Build on it.

5. You have your soul, your focus of life. Unite it with the power of the creator. Build it up.

6. You have friends and family. Honor them even if they are now only a memory.

7. Everyday if we all did all we could to make this world a better place, it would slowly be a better place.

8. Remember that happiness comes from within and spreads outward not the other way around. Any happiness from without is only fleeting, temporary.

9. Be positive. Be someone you would want to be around. Then other people will want to be around you.

10. All our reverses can turn to positives if we grow with them. The wind blows against the trees. They grow with it. We can also.

The temptation to dissect the intended optimism of your sincere and important post GG is almost too hard to ignore but I won't. I will say that I just stopped doing a separate task because I feel overwhelmed by disgust, painful empathy, and shame. The emotions became so distracting while I was handling dangerous equipment I took a break to come write and discuss my feelings with a few hopefully considerate well meaning folks.

It is very difficult to preserve a legitimate pride in self if one is filled with indignant revulsion at their culture/Nation, gender, and even their species. I do not allow myself to go to the dark side and act on these thoughts of desperate rage and agonizing empathy but to ignore their existence and pretend they are illegitimate is also harmful.

To do nothing is harmful but to do nothing about them is worse.

I write to confront the madness in myself, in others, and in our collective hearts and mind. I write to transmute the pain, blind anger and destructive passions. I write but it reminds me often of fragile Buddhist prayers written on rice paper and cast adrift with a candle to burn for a brief moment and then dissolve as they fade away into the larger sea.

I can not feed the machine and so assume a standard of poverty even though I see no inherent quality in poverty but I see too much collective harm caused by the obsessive compulsion to gratify our lusts for power, prestige, and material wealth.

Too bad that while it is so easy for the evil ones to know one another and work together even if at cross purpose of competition it is at least the reality that evil unites more readily than good. Strange irony in that ehh?

Good people are rightly skeptical of one another and take time to earn each other's trust but evil people can find the bond of common cause even while trying to kill one another. Think of how extremists on both sides of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict were able to systematically derail the peace process to serve their mutual purpose of keeping the conflict in 'force'. Our own Military Industrial Complex is playing our people for fools in like manner and true human created evil comes into domination of events this way.

I am not trying to dwell here on the pessimistic perspective and I actually commend you for your post though I could reduce cynically every element, I choose not to for a reason, I prefer trying to go to the next step.

A step that requires rational analysis of all you have proposed but one that recognizes the significant obstacles we face and tries to build a basis of realistic hope in the effort to find what is good about us that is more important than what is evil.

For "Good" people to rationally confront this serious and growing power of true human evil we must learn to recognize each other effectively and faster. How can we do this?

Traditionally it was through a litmus test of 'doctrine' within established 'communal' and 'cultural' guidelines (religion, guilds, conflict, deeds etc) but this process has been both usurped by easy standards of hypocrisy and is too slow to meet the challenges of our day.

So add to your list of what's wrong, and maybe what is right, the idea that if we can build a social bridge to one another's hearts soon enough we do have the power to quell this growing insanity and resolve the ever worsening crises.

Nothing about this will be easy but neither is it impossible.

      LOVE IS ALL THERE IS.
      Just Love.
LOVE Is Enough, and it comes in its very purest form as ENERGY.
When infused by Our Creator, Love is a gift to you, that is given every moment of every day, for each of you. It will always be more than you need!
Why not "TAKE NOTHING" from each other; and begin to "GIVE A LOT" to those that have yet to discover or remember how?

A wise ole Indian once told me..

        Chage the way you think..

It will change the way you feel..

Which will change the way you act out..

Essentially.. if you don't like your environment.. change how you feel about it..

If you don't like your job.. either change the way you perceive it.. or find another one..

All things happen for a reason and ppl perpetuate negativity even for a reason..

There are always opposites.... with no opposing force.. how could we, as humans in all our great curiosity.. ever enjoy the grace of Light with no darkness.. Or joy with no sadness.. Or the wonderous green plants and the totally beautiful landscapes.. if there were no landfills.. no negativity to the environment...

We, as humans.. compare everything.. We live in a comparisson world..

We do not appreciate anything until .. either we loose it, it is threatended to be taken away from us... or we have something negative to compare it to...

Except when conformity becomes complicity Gypsy.

I understand the challenge of changing the way I thank and I try this each day but that is not the same as acceptance.

I change the way I feel all the time I do not kick the dog or punish children for things they did not do. I keep the events somewhat compartmentalized to protect the innocent but the real challenge of changing the way you think about things is to not let it become a platitude for not thinking at all about things or the inverse accepting dogma and doctrine as convenient for transferring blame both away from the self and onto a selected "opposing interest" (force).

All things are not equal. Critical discernment is much more than mere survival skill.

I appreciate things I have and things I don't. I am glad to be without some and burdened by possessing more. Giving things away does not address the magnitude of possession as a quality and responsibility. The responsibility of maintenance and the consequences of choice. I have given up much the wealth of those that seek it in favor of a different wealth I have, one I try to share freely of these things I value so greatly, wisdom, knowledge, health, and compassion.

I would be far more 'free' with material wealth if such sharing wasn't like sharing dangerous drugs for too many folks. Too much of the world's greatest evils are the result of the avarice that comes after the basic needs of survival are met. However I do not for a moment think a solution lies in a simplistic return to simplicity.

There is no return to Eden.

            Dear Lazarus L,

There are many things I would love to say to you but I can not.

I appreciate that you resisted the urge to dissect my every postive thought in the initial post of this topic.

            I will say respond though.

There is a light born within us all that connects to a greater power. That greater power has not diminished. It has not gone. Many people have turned their backs on it. Those who still face the light and let it fill them know it is as strong as ever. I tell you there is hope.

You are right, the condition of this world is very critical. Who know what will happen next? The world was forever changed on 9/11. There will be other changes.

I believe with all my heart that there is still love, hope and charity in the world. I believe that those that honesty live love, hope and charity will survive.

The power of love is all consumming. There may be no return to Eden, if not it will be better in time. You know that life goes in cycles. Evil has had a long one. Good will have a long one soon.

There are still those who value and life greatly what you value, knowledge, faith or power, justice, judgement, mercy, truth, health, compassion, and all good things.

Believe me when I tell you that if evil really was in as much control as you seem to indicate, the very earth itself would not hold still.

Peace. Peace be unto you. Turn fully to the light, it will heal you and all others who will choose to be healed.

No no no i do not agree that we live by comparison....comparison is faulty thinking. the truth about truth is that it recognizes itself instantly and need no dark for its light. do not mistake mobism for agreement of minds...there maybe some heartfelt causes...truth is subtle so is love....love has to be spontaneous for it to work not well thought out...though things can be built from love...but the light passing between two people in truth thaat comes from love....its a very fine wire ....you just have to be determined to find it. I like the course in miracles and what it has to say...we need to ask to be able to see at no cost to anyone....when we see we can act differently. we can understand and know....it is so the mind cannot dwell on evil...dont look at it..we know its there but look at solutions....ge wheat has been banned in canada , monsanto has sacked its wheat project...australia has also forbidden its use....two african nations have found their own solutions to AIDS without us or un intervention and like it that way....africa has also found naturl plants to grow with other crops and which act as natural pesticides..therefore they do not need 'round-up' they have also found the moringa tree and so have a good source for cheap healthy food....we now know that homogenized milk causes heart disease so people can become informed and help themselves and the dairy indursty will have to comply and we will force small farms back onto the community and rid ourselves of the dearth of monsanto as farmers utilizse real successful gene engineering instead of the cross bred jackass stuff phillip morris want to end the world with. It has been predicted from at least the 1900's that israel/arabs would start the third world war...the us should stay out of it..if more people were clearer on the subject then we as a mass could have more influence....fuddled minds have no energy no focus but anger and confusion....look up seek the light hear the quiet gentle small voice inside....not the big strong I'll take them on....if global warming and earthquakes and more disasters are inevitable lets get to work preparing adequate storage and shelters in small community numbers...digging underground shelters....inevitably there may be another nuclear bomb...underground protection is needed....people have to chip in to provide...lets start by informing others....i have...I've down loaded articles and and distributing them ...handing them out to my bank teller, to whomever i meet, putting it in mailboxes...chating with some people....ten dollars....not much to save a nation....evil can only thrive when people have left a door open or a sign hanging out....awake people..lets pull the plug on evil...and see how quickly it washes out....we've sacked monsanto wheat lets keep going....
